Friendship Tea
These Friendship Teas are easy to make and are a lovely gift for a friend in need! Containing a single tea bag, Twinings, just the thing for a pick me up. You can buy the box of 5 different Twinings Teas, I had a different pattern DSP for each type of tea.
Inside there is a little caption, shown on the right.
I put the Friendship Tea in cellophane bags so they weren't handled too much. I had an open packet showing  the little verse on the inside.
This idea was taken from http://kerryspapercrafts.com
She has some wonderful ideas for craft fairs.
It is also a good way to use up discontinued dsp.

Last Saturday I had a stall at the local infant school. The last couple of weeks I have been preparing for this and subsequent school fairs.

I have been busy the last couple of days designing some thank you cards for a friend. I had given her a card and a gift tag using 'Nursery Nest' designer series paper when she had her baby - now for Thank You cards.

The one we chose was the pink card with the Adorning Accents, embossed hearts!

We had a Summer MIni Swap recently, organised by Pat Couder.
This was my creation, using The Open Sea stamp set. I also used the words from Clearly for You and the dotty stamp from French Foliage..This doesn't show up much as it is stamped onto the aged vellum to give it a more aged look.
Actually the photo doesn't do it justice, as I have a layer of vellum over the card, coming to about an inch from the bottom.

The  ink colours used are Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and  Basic Black.
Cardstock is Naturals Ivory, this has a lovely colour and is a little bit thicker than general card. I also used vellum which I coloured with Crumb Cake.

I have used Linen Thread, Black Brad, Smal Oval Punch, Circle punches and  Black and Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder.
For the 'Scrimshaw' I used Foam Core and an oval die, both non Stampin Up products. I was excited about how the foam core could go through the Big Shott.

I had the idea recently when on holiday in Jersey during Easter and lots of these Easter Eggs were hanging from a tree in a shop.
I went home and had a practise, and this was the result. Using the Everybunny stamp set.

I was playing yesterday with the new Framelits Label Collection from the Summer MIni.
This is a CASE from the talented Sandy McIver. The butterfly is done using the Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Summer MIni. It is embossed in white craft ink, then spongedaubed in daffodil delight and calypso coral. You make 2 of these, punch out with the new blossom punch and cut to make a beautiful butterfly. The second image is layered to the butterfly with dimensionals to give it some lift!
These Framelets are used with the Big Shot.  I can see them getting quite a lot of use.

It is Mothers Day in Australia next Sunday and as my husband was heading that way, I made a card for his mum. This time using the Framelets, and the Embosslits Beautiful Wings!

I want to share with you some of the swaps I recently received whilst at our Reading Regional Training.

This was my swap. It was done using a laminated sheet , then punching out 2 masks using the new Blossom Punch from the new Summer Mini. Using this as a mask, randomly spinge Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade onto card.

Using the Mixed Bunch set, apply the stamp in Real Red onto the blossoms.
The words are from Flight of the Butterfly.
The bookmark was then laminated, a hole punched through and some Calypso Coral ribbon threaded through.

I love these colours together, they produce a WOW factor together!!

                                               Tea Shoppe - ???

                                           Tea Shoppe - Michelle Last

The Open Sea - Kim Fee

Mixed Bunch - Genevieve Jones (GenGen)

and the some more , namely Jane Brotherton, Lesley Lendon,Sharon woodham, Kate Saunders, ?, ?, Niki Ridge.
The little owl corner bookmark and the Triple flower ring I don't have their names, so if you happen to know who created these I would love to be able to acknowledge them.

The new Summer Mini catalogue

This is available 1 May to 31 August 2012.

It is full of the most amazing new products and I found it hard to choose a favourite, so hard in fact I could not choose just one thing........

Later today there will be an image on the right hand side of my blog of the new summer mini, which will take you directly to a downloadable copy. Alternatively go to www.stampinup.co.uk so see the catalogue and offers.

What is inside the Summer Mini Catalogue?

New hostess stamp set, new stamp sets, brand new thin dies, new embossing folders, new Bigz die, pleated ribbon, new designer buttons, beautiful designer series pattern papers, scented embossing powders, jelly bean brads, bakers twine and a fantastic new blossom punch!

One of the wonderful products in the catalogue is the SIMPLY SCORED SCORING TOOL.

The basic board comes in Imperial measurements in inches. There is also available a separate METRIC plate which sits on top, this is just right for the standard card sizes, no need to second guess where the centre fold is!

And there is also available a DIAGONAL plate! It also nests on top of the scoring board and has a full 12x12" sized plate to create your own diagonal score lines which are perfect for making your own envelopes. It costs £10.95 and is available to order now even though you may not see it in the new summer mini catalogue. Please get in touch for more details.

Have a look at the new Summer Mini.  Make a wish list.  Get a few friends together, call me and let’s have a play.

If you would like your own paper copy of the new summer mini posting to you, please let me know and I will get one in the post to you.
