Baby Bumps

I had a play this week with another of the single stamps from Stampin' Up! This time 'Oh Baby' available for £6.50. I decided to computer generate some wording, and then play with colours. I chose Melon Mambo and Marina Mist. I actually like the black one best, it's Audrey Hepburnesque!!

Just a reminder, there is only one week left to order from the Retired List,
and from the Spring / summer catalogue.
Please check here for stamp availability and here for Accessories availability. If what you want has a cross in the column on the RHS then I'm afraid it is no longer available.
A big Hello to the Stampin' Up! single stamps.
These are a single image stamp. they were introduced at the beginning of the month and I am finally getting around to having a play.
You can also view this here

The stamp I had a lot of fun with is Hello Hello, only £6.95, available until 31 August or until stocks last!

Just add a bit of Designer Series Paper, a brad, a bit of ribbon or twine, some embossing and you have a simple card. The stamp can be inked one colour or by using your markers.  Have fun!

June is the month for weddings in England.
I had to assemble a card in a hurry for an evening reception we were going to last week.
With a bit of bling added and a bit of the retired vanilla velvet ribbon, you can change a floral stamp. In this case an old favourite Flowering Flourishes, so pleased it is staying for at least another year.
Stampin Up doesn't do a Very Vanilla ink pad so I had to use an old one I had in my stash. The sentiment is from Perfectly Penned, cut out with a die from Apothecary Accents and a vanilla flower on each end.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

I had a great time with the new Designer Series Papers in black and white. I really love the new designs this year.
I have teemed this simple card with a sentiment from Delightful Dozen stamp set.
Another simple card, this time using the Big Shot and cutting out the word Dad using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz die.

Sneak Peak of a lovely stamp set and embossing bundle - Wildflower Meadow

We used this stamp set and embossing folder in a class recently.
Courtesy of Jane
Courtesy of Ruth
It is a large stamp and it is best to place your card stock on top of the stamp for the impression and then to gently press the paper to get the maximum coverage of ink on your paper. I find this is the best way to stamp when using a large stamp. We coloured the stamp with markers in Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Early Expresso, Crumb Cake and Real Red. We also used the new Gingham Garden Designer Washi tape, available in the new catalogue July 1st.
Using the new washi tape with Midnight Muse and Melon Mambo
Using  one of the new colours Soft Sky

Triple Time Stamping lent itself to this big stamp quite well.

Secret Garden is a beautiful stamp set. We saw it in the  Spring/Summer catalogue and it has found its way into the main catalogue. This set has matching framelits which I shall be showcasing shortly.

Hi and Welcome to Stampin Stars Retiring Products Blog Hop.

This is a Blog Hop that will showcase some of the stamps and other retiring products from the outgoing Idea Book and Catalogue 2012-2013 to make room for some new and exciting stamp sets and colours!
You will probably have come from the delightful  Sarah
For a full list of the participating Stars see below. I hope you will enjoy what you see and it will inspire you to 'have to have' that retiring product. In which case contact your demonstrator or Shop Here

'Toolshed' is one of the few masculine images SU have, and its going to be retired!
It is a large stamp, so you can use the whole or just a part of it.
I have used the whole stamp and I stamped it twice so I could cut out some of the images and layer them on my card. I used another retiring stamp set, 'Word Play' for the sentiment.
I layered these to a Sahara Sand (you guessed it- retiring!) card which had been partly embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.
I went a bit crazy and made matching gift bags and tags.

For the above card I used Crumb Cake and Black. I made it a Fathers Day card and added World's Greatest and a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments. see post April 25 for the inside of this card!

A more colourful rendition using an old favourite Lucky Limeade which is going. I have teamed it with the woodgrain embossing folder and some DSP from Tea for Two. I have sponged some Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade and Pretty in Pink on the stamp and the DSP. The sentiment is from Word Play.

I had a bit of fun with this one. Staying with the Tea for Two paper and the colours I wanted to add some feminine touches. So I added some Vanilla flower trim which I ran a couple of markers across to give the flower some colour and I added Delicate Details Lace Tape.

The Flower trim and the Lace tape are in the Spring/Summer Catalogue which will end 30 June.

I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen so far  on your blog hop. Please leave a comment, as it will be much appreciated.

Next on your search for inspiration is Pip  Enjoy!
